the pitter patter of baby steps

What I did not mention in my last entry was that something else sparked by motivation to write again. The blogs listed below, the fruits of my journal-jumping and web-surfing while my tummy digests lunch in the office, had a lot of hand in knocking some of those corporate BS out of my head. That's right, these blogs are about living your dreams, and about individuals who already are:

Girl: A Website by Alex
Journals of a Working Mom
Renaissance Girl
Maganda.org

Living your dreams can be scary, because sometimes it takes you way out of the path of security. But that's why they are called "dreams" in the first place, right? Because they are your passions out of reach. (If they are all within reach, then it would have been called "the corporate world" or something equally blah, because the uniqueness would have been taken out.) And it takes people who are willing to take that hop, jump, leap of faith to reach out and grasp that dream. It takes a lot of effort and courage to leap, because you do not where you will land. But I think all will be made worth it, based on the mere fact that you tried. How will you know that you will reach something if you don't at least stand on tip toes? And to put it more bluntly, how do you live life when you are always haunted by "what if"'s? Granted, living your dreams isn't always easy. Society's opinion could be different from yours. Your own opinion may even experience bouts of schizophrenic frenzy: "Am I on the right path?" But maybe, we should all promise ourselves to make baby steps everyday.

Since we have segued on the topic of "trying", I think this blog will be just that. It will contain various thoughts and attempts of eloquating them, in my path to rediscover my right brain and get reaquainted with my fondness of writing (and Random House Dictionary). I can't set the bar too high yet, in fear that if I set my standards to high now, I will end up abandoning this project again with the usual alibis of being too busy and swamped with work. Hopefully, when I've warmed up (and when DSL have been installed in our home), I will have more time to tinker with this webpage and turn it into my Virtual Space of Vanity. Hehe. :o)
